Whether it’s a steam or classic diesel-powered passenger train or a modern excursion, the latest WalthersProto Heavyweight Passenger Cars are standout additions to any HO Scale passenger fleet. Based on prototypes built by the world-renowned Pullman Company and American Car & Foundry, these cars were designed for decades of dependable service. Many Pullman sleepers and baggage cars also served with specially built troop cars in military trains during World War II and the Korean War.

As newer equipment arrived, many were repainted to match updated passenger consists, while others found second careers in Maintenance of Way (MOW) service. Today, numerous heavyweight passenger cars remain preserved, continuing the legacy of these iconic railroad classics.
